June in music, Florence dances and sings

In June, one of the most awaited music festivals in Italy arrives in Florence: Firenze Rocks, with internationally renowned artists. In the city, music takes center stage, also thanks to some venues in San Frediano, the coolest neighborhood in the world.

Florence Rocks 2023 not to be missed

The fifth edition of the festival arrives at the Visarno Arena with two extraordinary appointments. The opening will feature The Who, the legendary British rock band who will take the stage at Firenze Rocks on Saturday 17 June.

On the only Italian date of the tour, the iconic London band will be accompanied by an excellent philharmonic: the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, chosen for its international standing and to pay homage to the city of the event. The lineup will wind through the most famous songs along the almost sixty-year career of the group, with particular attention to the tracks of the two symbolic albums of The Who, "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia".

The famous guitarist Tom Morello, a prominent member of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, opens the event. Rolling Stones magazine placed him on their list of the 100 Greatest Musicians in the World, at number 26. Atmospheric distortion and elastic slapping characterize his unmistakable style, which will give the audience an exciting performance.

Sunday 18 June is the turn of Maroon 5, one of the most loved pop bands in the world. Since their debut album Songs About Jane, the Los Angeles-based group has captivated millions of fans with its harmonious mix of Rock/R&B. After 3 GRAMMY Awards, 90 million records sold and gold and platinum certifications in more than 35 countries around the world, they will offer an unforgettable evening to the Firenze Rocks audience.

Before them, space for American singer Jake Shears, singer-songwriter D4VD and English indie-rock band The Reytons.
